Pilot site at TOFAŞ – Turkey
TOFAŞ, one of Turkey’s leading automotive manufacturers, operates a high-performance main data center supporting production processes, supply chain management, IT systems, and enterprise file services. The facility is critical to business continuity, encompassing extensive IT workloads across three cold corridors.
In 2023, the main data center consumed 804.8 MWh of electricity, while the adjacent IT building used 213.7 MWh for electricity and 190.4 MWh equivalent for heating. Current cooling relies on air-based systems distributing cold air through a raised floor system.
Key Features:
- Hybrid cooling technology deployment for high-density server workloads
- Redirection of collected waste heat for operational reuse within the IT building
- CFD-driven thermal optimisation to improve cooling efficiency and energy performance
- Primary focus on the main TOFAŞ data center in Bursa, Turkey
This pilot will enhance cooling performance and increase waste heat recovery by implementing a hybrid cooling solution.
